No one is alone in their thinking, just shy about expressing what isn't conventional. We should probably change that.
When I was newly trying to understand myself, I looked for something I could relate to online. I was lost, scared, and really confused. I assumed others had to be going thru a process of discovery and overwhelming change and I could learn something, somewhere.
Seemed I just found a lot of fluff, judgment, and paywalls. So I want to be plain and free about it.
No matter what anyone has gone thru they are not too far gone to feel better and do better. Never too broken, never too late.
Just never felt deeply safe enough to let it out anywhere.
Ever wonder why we are verbally supported all over the place to seek help, rest, and recovery, but only find strong criticism and timetables to get better?
Because the true message behind all the support is fix yourself ASAP, don’t blame anyone else, and get back to your obligations. Folks want from you what makes them comfortable, secure.
Only we can give ourselves permission to put in “the work” to get past the denial, guilt, shame, stubbornness and anger to become authentically happier alongside our obligations. Yes, it is possible.
And it is worth the effort to get to meet your unhappiness as you will realize happiness wasn’t ever the goal, it was peace. Peace is priceless.
Peace is earned by you and cannot be taken away. Happiness is sold to you and dependent upon exterior conditions.
Bonus, you will finally live the true meaning of 2 words you’ve heard your whole life: control and freedom.
Starting isn’t easy at any phase of personal improvement and advancement but it does get easier.
No, a miracle can’t be found online for anyone to make it all better without effort and honesty, but a collective approach to individually sharing our experiences sure helps more than staying silent and suffering I’d think?
